We're Allen and Melissa Brown, and our story together goes all the way back to 1997. Like every couple, over the years we learned that two people can love each other deeply and still experience the same relationship very differently.

Four to six months into my relationship with Melissa, I asked her a question I have never really stopped asking: what if we could grade each other, the way we were graded in school?
That question was the inception of Couple Report Cards. I went looking to see whether anything like it already existed. There were a few things out there — but nothing extensive enough to do what I had in mind.
So the idea grew into something bigger: a structured way to report on the relationship itself, so each partner could effectively communicate their needs, their desires, and their wishes for it.
Not to embarrass each other. Not to tear each other down. But to honestly answer the questions most couples rarely get a clear answer on:
How am I doing as your spouse?
I set out to create “Couple Report Cards” that would let us grade different areas of our relationship. Communication. Affection. Romance. Quality time. Support. Partnership. And all the other things that make a relationship work.
I never had time to print them, but the idea always stayed with me.
Allen and Melissa's story begins — and within months, the question that started all of this: what if we could grade each other?
I registered SpouseReports.com, because I believed there was something powerful about giving couples a structured way to understand how their spouse was actually experiencing them. But the technology — and the timing — weren't there yet.
Spouse Reports finally became what I imagined years ago: a private relationship-improvement platform where your spouse can give you honest feedback, that feedback becomes meaningful grades, and those grades produce your own Spouse GPA on a 0.00–4.00 scale.
Spouse Reports isn't about proving which spouse is better. It isn't about winning an argument. And it isn't about creating a perfect relationship.
It's about seeing your relationship more clearly.
Your spouse experiences a version of you that you don't always get to see. Spouse Reports gives them a structured way to communicate that experience — and gives you an opportunity to learn from it.
The goal is simple: honest feedback, personal accountability, and measurable growth.
Instead of saying “we need to communicate better,” Spouse Reports can help you see where communication actually stands. Instead of wondering whether your spouse feels appreciated, supported, heard, loved or prioritized, you can receive feedback that helps you understand their experience.
And over time, you can see whether you're improving.
We believe strong relationships aren't built by pretending everything is perfect. They're built when two people are willing to listen, learn, adjust, forgive, grow, and keep choosing each other.
That is what Spouse Reports is about.
Private Feedback. Your Grade. Your Growth.
Let's keep raising the GPA.
